Marrakech to Erg Chagaga Desert Tour 4 days Description:

 1st day: Marrakech – Zagora 

kick off your Marrakech to Erg Chagaga Desert adventure by morning departure from the red city to Zagora, crossing the Great Atlas and passing Tizi n Tichka (2260 m). In panoramic views, there will be opportunities to stop taking pictures.

The last road is Ouarzazate and Dra’a valley, where we stop for lunch in Agadez. In the afternoon, we go off-road along the Valley of Dra’a and the old caravan route between the mountains and the river.

Then up to the door of the desert and Zagora, where you will have a camel trip to see the sunset and dinner in the dunes in the Palm bivouac of Bedouin tents where you can spend the night as well.

 2nd day: Zagora – Erg Chagaga 

After breakfast, go back to Zagora on the camel again. Later, we were displaced south to M’hamid (the end of the paved road) that passes by Tamegroute where you can visit the Koranic library, the Kasbah underground, and the pottery factory.

Lunch at M’hamid. In the afternoon departure to Chagaga Dunes (300m) with 65km of off-road driving, this road passes the different features of the desert. ‘Erg’, ‘reg’, ‘Hamada’, oases.

Sunset from the top of the dunes Erg Chagaga is stunning, and then there is dinner and night at the Bedouin tent at the foot of the dunes.

 3rd day: Erg Chagaga – Ouarzazate 

After breakfast, the road crosses 100 km of Moroccan desert, passing Lake Iriqui and the mountains and excavations to lovers. The first village outside the desert, Foum Zguid, is the place for lunch.

In the afternoon, we travel north to the city of Ouarzazate hills, last oases of palm trees until we reach the town Taznakht, a small town famous for its barbarism. We arrive in Ouarzazate by the end of the afternoon for a night at a hotel.

 4th day: Ouarzazate – Marrakech

After breakfast, we visit the Kasbah Telouet, which belongs to the Galway Family and the Atlas Studios. On your way to the north, leaving the main road and cut off a roadside to visit Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou.

This site is often used as a backdrop for some scenes that are memorable in many masterpieces of films such as “Lawrence of Arabia” and “Warrior”).

From here, you can drive along the Ounila Valley with beautiful and prosperous villages, mountains, and picturesque views of squirmed will stop to visit the Kasbah of squirmed.
